J. K Rowling says if you don't like to read you haven't find the right book.
I begin reading and take reading as my hobby in the year 2010 when I had to study a novel for my minor course. I never liked reading because I thought reading put me to sleep. In fact, during my school days, I hated it when I need to study. So, back in summer that year, I had to study To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I like literature, so yeah I made myself read the novel.
I never knew how much I love reading until one day when I was so busy that I had no time to read, I felt upset and angry. I literally put all the work and assignment at a side and picked the novel to read for more than an hour. I felt accomplished reading for about 100 pages. And no, I wasn't stressed, I was in the urge of reading! I thought "Gosh, this book is awesome." Then, by the end of the semester(after the final exam) I made my time to the local bookshop to grab some novels home so that I wouldn't be bored during the holidays. By the end of 2010, I realized that To Kill a Mockingbird has been my favourite book.
So, a few weeks ago, I was telling about Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult. I have finished reading this book less than two hours ago. This book is really great, if you asked me which is better, Sing You Home or To Kill a Mockingbird, I really don't know. Both are equally good.
I think, reading needs commitment. It isn't like watching any movie where you know the ending in less than three hours. Reading is a path and a journey, it takes you to a whole new world. Every time I finish a book, the wonderful journey ends and I sit still, holding the book, like I have no idea what to do next. I put the book back to my book rack, and take out another book I bought and read it. And I believe, it is going to be another good book.
