From my favourite macaron baker, Macarons by Madeleine.

 I swear that I wasn't expecting this at all!

When I received a notification from Instagram inbox and saw Madeleine's name up there, I knew the content of the message right away~

She sent me her handcrafted macarons which she painted with floral motifs.

By the way, she has also started using new packaging for her macarons, and I believe I am the first labrat person to receive it!

She also made one special bear macaron~

Craved for Macarons

Yes, macarons were one of my cravings during my Red Zone this month.

Coincidentally, Madeleine from Macarons by Madeleine was selling some of her freshly baked macarons so I took the opportunity to satisfy my crave.

Not once, but twice.

I mentioned to her that I love the one she made for Butterfly Project 6th Birthday Party and I got my guess correct that she used lemon filling. I told her that I prefer sour over sweet, so in my second order, she used lemon filling for me~ 

I was so happy~

Nope, I'm not referring to the M&M chocolate, but

Macarons by Madeleine.

I had the chance to try out a macaron during The Butterfly Projects Malaysia's 6th birthday party. I took the macaron home, chilled it, and took a photo before eating it for my breakfast on the next day.

By the way, Tammy (aka Mamasan) the founder of The Butterfly Project told us that Madeleine handcrafted each painting of the macaron, and it was not the work of a machine. I was amazed by that because I know that painting on a small surface could be really tiring. (눈_눈)

This is especially if you are short-sighted. You might need to bring it really close to you so that you could see better, and you should only use a small and thin brush. Just imagine the sore you could feel at your knuckles, neck, arms, shoulder blades and along your spine.

Oh, and one more thing. 

I hid my macaron at a spot in the fridge so that my husband wouldn't see it. Otherwise, he would eat it HAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHA

Frankly, when I first knew about it, I wasn't so sure if I would love it because all the macarons I have tried in my life were awfully sweet to the extend that I did not want to eat it anymore after the first bite. ٩(ఠ益ఠ)۶

Expensive macarons or cheap macarons were equally bad for my liking.

I took my first bite. Surprisingly, it wasn't sweet at all.

It has a hint of lemon-y taste in it and being a fan of sour food, 

I like it almost immediately.

When the whole macaron was in my stomach, I really do wish there was more for me to eat! (ಥ﹏ಥ)
