[REVIEW] Curel Sebum Care Line

On the 18th May 2018, I received a private message from the Curel Malaysia on Instagram, stating that I have been chosen as one of the three winners to try out the Curel Sebum Care Lotion and Moisturising Gel. Honestly, I did not expect to be so lucky because I joined the giveaway due to greed lol.

I received the product samples one week later, and started using them on the same day. Just for your information, I have super oily skin type, and no, I am not joking. Everyone says that they have oily skin too when in fact they are actually normal. Half of them can go out all day long and come back looking fine, and another half can go out for half a day then only start touching up. And then, there's me. I go out and forty minutes later, I will be needing my oil blotter. If I leave my face just as it is for two hours, I will look as if I fell into a pot of oil.

That is how oily my skin is. I am always jealous of people who don't need to touch up as often as I am, and can use liquid or cream type of products on their face. Maybe I am just unfortunate hahah And I am not the kind of person who will buy a product just to regret it after one or two uses because it doesn't work on me. So I am actually glad that I can try the samples.

Today marks the tenth day of using the samples, and here is what I have to say.

On the second day of using;
If you are a follower of my private Twitter account, surely you read a tweet from me on the 25th May. I stated that "I am already seeing the result" because, before using them I have to blot my face two hours after putting on my makeup, but on this particular day, even it was past two hours, my face seemed in tact. In addition to that, my skin complexion looks glowy and brighter too.

One week after using;
Being the little scientist in me, I made sure that what I noticed on the second day was not a coincidence and kept track of my skin condition. As the pattern continues, I became sure that I don't need to blot my facial oil so often. Somehow, the sebum production has slowed down. With this being said, I became less self-conscious as I don't need to check my face on the mirror regularly. It is a good thing!

Yesterday (the tenth day) and this morning;
I checked my face this morning and I realised that my pores have shrunk. I am very pleased with what I see!

Enlarged pores and oily skin are some kind of horror to me since I was a teenager, and I never want people to look at my nose when we communicate. My self-consciousness is as far as the I-will-check-if-you-have-enlarged-pores-on-your-face-too level. It's ironic, I know, but I can't help it. I am always grateful for the smart blur effect on smart phones because no one can see my orange-skin cheeks and strawberry-skin nose.

Having seen my pores shrunk, I feel that my confidence has been raised. With my less oily skin now, I feel really happy that I have one less thing to worry about when I go out. I truly think that Curel Sebum Care Lotion and Sebum Care Moisture Gel are my life-changing products. I do plan to purchase them, and probably will do so if I see them in Japan.

I can't wait to bid my shiny forehead and nosetip a good bye soon!
