There is no way we can avoid the sun in Malaysia. Even if we hide in a building, the UV ray can penetrate through the windows, and everywhere we go, there will always be UV ray. Yes, even at night.
It is actually quite impossible to cure the earth and completely vanish the UV ray. Come to think of it, UV ray can cause premature skin aging. I know it sounds horrible, because..who on earth would like to look older than they are?
Being in Malaysia and the fact that this country lies near the Equator, we are more exposed to the sun compared to southern or northern countries. What I like to do is to apply my sunscreen to protect my skin. I mean, this is my must-have-in-my-bag item.
My students know me and tend to ask me, "Teacher, where is the blue tube? We want some too!" They all know how I love the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence.
The key point is "aqua rich watery essence".
Throughout my school days, I had used brands like BB, S, and V (go figure out). I started using BB back in primary school days when I saw my friend using it (ugh...speaking of peer influence). If you've figured out what BB brand stands for, you will have to agree with me that the texture is creamy and thick. When it comes in contact with water, it feels slippery as if we left our shampoo on our skin dry. Once, I forgot that I had BB sunblock on and I rubbed my eyes. It was irritating as hell and someone I don't know actually asked me if I was okay because my eyes were red and tears kept running down my cheek. As for the S and V brands, the textures were more runny. Based on my experience, once it's absorbed into my skin, I don't really feel comfortable, as if my skin was sticky. I stopped buying after I finished one tube of each.
On the other hand, the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence is watery. The "aqua rich watery essence" is a feature I love about this sunscreen because it makes gliding on the skin so much easier, and comfortable. Also, it absorbs into the skin very quickly. It feels very lightweight on my skin as if I did not apply it. But, do not underestimate this as it is a SPF 50+ sunscreen with PA +++++. If this fact doesn't convince you enough, please be informed that this Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence won the Best Cosmetic Award by Cosme Japan.
Other than that, I also love this sunscreen because it makes my skin feels hydrated, smooth and soft after application. After all, it contains the royal jelly extract, so don't worry much because it helps to prevent age spots, loss of skin elasticity and dullness caused by sunburn. The mixed citrus essence in it also makes the sunscreen smells good~
When I wash my hand after applying it, I can actually feel that the sunscreen is still there. With the new and improved formula, this Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence water-like sunscreen is so long-lasting yet durable. It is highly resistant to sweat and water.
You can get your hands on one of this from any drugstores near you. For me, I bought mine from Watsons. Biore has also released a limited edition which comes in a pink tube with gold lid (shown in the picture above) as it is rose-scented.
